On December 21, 2025, the Russia Waste Paper Processing Experts Alliance and Chinese papermaking equipment enterprises held a China–Russia Deep Cooperation Seminar on the Pulp and Paper Industry in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. China Papermaking Magazine, as an industry media outlet, provided follow-up coverage of the event.
The seminar aimed to promote exchanges and mutual learning between the two sides in the pulp and paper industry, explore future directions for cooperation, and facilitate the wider application of high-quality Chinese papermaking equipment in the Russian market. It also discussed establishing training centers for the operation of equipment produced by Chinese papermaking machinery companies such as Zhengzhou Yunda Paper Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yunda”) and Henan Dazhi Papermaking Equipment Integrated Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Dazhi Equipment”).
In-depth Discussions and On-site Visits
On the morning of December 21, the seminar officially opened in the third-floor conference room of Yunda. Wang Shuhui, Vice Mayor of Xinzheng City, Henan Province, and Sheng Lizhong, President of Yunchou Technology, delivered opening speeches. They warmly welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of deepening China–Russia cooperation in the field of pulp and paper equipment.

Denis Kondratyev, First Deputy General Director of the Russia Waste Paper Processing Experts Alliance, delivered a speech expressing strong interest in strengthening cooperation with Chinese counterparts. This was followed by a thematic discussion on “The Current Status and Analysis of the China–Russia Pulp and Paper Industry.”
Andrey Guriyanov, General Director of the Russia Waste Paper Processing Experts Alliance, attended the meeting on behalf of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. During the discussion, he noted that Russian frontline engineers have had certain misconceptions about Chinese equipment; however, as understanding deepens, perceptions are gradually changing, with increasing recognition of the high cost-effectiveness of Chinese equipment.
The Alliance expressed its hope to jointly establish equipment operation training centers with Chinese papermaking equipment enterprises, train Russian technicians to operate Chinese pulp and paper equipment, and issue training certification certificates.

After the discussions, participants visited Yunda’s final assembly workshop, machining workshop, pilot testing laboratory, and precision workshop, gaining firsthand insight into Yunda’s technological capabilities and manufacturing scale in papermaking equipment.

In the afternoon, discussions focused on “Development and Cooperation in the China–Russia Pulp and Paper Industry.” The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on technological development, market trends, and potential cooperation projects.
Andrey Guriyanov pointed out that the continuous development of the engineering workforce and knowledge transfer in the Russian pulp and paper industry are facing challenges. Cooperation with Chinese papermaking equipment enterprises in training programs is therefore of great significance to the Russian industry. After the seminar, a memorandum of the meeting will be submitted to the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Yunda and Dazhi Equipment stated that they will further improve foreign-language versions of equipment operation manuals and supplement operation and maintenance procedures. Both sides expressed their hope to enhance the market share of Chinese pulp and paper equipment in Russia through training programs and data sharing.
Expanding Exchanges and Precise Matchmaking
On December 22, participants visited Dazhi Equipment for a full day of exchanges and site visits, aiming to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese papermaking equipment enterprises and explore additional cooperation opportunities.

Through thematic discussions, corporate visits, and interactive exchanges, the seminar established an efficient dialogue platform for both sides. By sharing experiences and strengthening mutual trust, it laid a solid foundation for future substantive cooperation in technology R&D, equipment trade, and market expansion.
